Minerva M. Ensminger, 93, of the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra passed away Friday, April 29, 2016.
Born April 2, 1923 in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Gerata (Sholly) Walters and was also preceded in death by brothers Elvin W. Walters and Carl Herbert Walters.
She was a registered nurse with 27 years of service with the Lebanon VA Medical Center and nine years with Manor Care, Elizabethtown. A graduate of Jonestown High School and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hummelstown, she was an Army Nurse Corps veteran of World War II.
Surviving are her daughters Deborah Simmons, Donna Root and Amy Kreiss; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, May 5, 2016 at her church, 210 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Private interment, with military honors, will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 210 West Main Street, Hummelstown, PA 17036.
