My brother John Lytle recently passed away in Medford, Oregon. I wanted to post his obituary in this area so all his friends would know of his recent passing. My first thought was Donna Buse who was so wonderful to my family in the passing of my mother a few years ago. I will never forget her sincere kindness, and compassion. She is truly an angel!!!

We cannot thank Donna Buse enough for her guidance through such a difficult process. We felt that she genuinely cared about our loss and our wishes for my brother's final arrangements. She offered affordable suggestions and that was so much appreciated. You often hear of funeral directors taking advantage of people in their most vulnerable state. Donna was the opposite of that stereotype. We are forever grateful!!

Hello. I’d like to mention today’s Funeral service for Geralyn Meacham at Grace & Truth Bible Church in Hummelstown. I don’t know who prepared her body or did her hair and make-up but they did a wonderful job! I know she would be so pleased! I just couldn’t get over how beautiful she looked! I could just hear her saying to you all, “Bless you”! Everything was done in dignity and grace. You were all so kind! I just wanted you to know. She was a dear friend of ours and will be missed. The Buse Funeral home is a family oriented business with a very caring staff. Everything went smooth with memorial service for my husband Fred. From the visitation to the service Donna was by my side. She will remain a friend. Thank you so much for all the help as we dealt with the coronavirus dilemna.

My Father, Paul G. Janssen died in 2013 and my Mother Jean Janssen died this year (2018.) 6 years before my Father passed, on the recommendation of a friend, they met with the folks of Buse funeral home in Palmyra to prepay and make all the arrangements for their funerals. At the time, my parents simply told me their general desire and gave me an updated copy of their wills.

When the time came for me to call Buse for my Father, I had no idea what to expect. People run businesses and in some of them they are trained to appear sympathetic and compassionate and I am sure some are better than others but I surely did not expect what I experienced with Buse.

They are a family run business and they know how to treat people- people that are under various degrees of stress dealing with a very difficult time. Beyond compassionate, they are very professional in both asking and answering questions and then providing actions to take care of the smallest details.

My parents were both buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington DC. There is a considerable amount of paperwork and required communication with them to arrange funerals and Buse took care of everything and took away so much of what would have been stress on myself.

A special thanks to Nathan Buse, who personally advocated for my parents with Arlington, kept me informed of all requirements and actions, and provided a personal attention I would have never expected. He is a genuine person and professional, whose actions allow me to endorse Buse Funeral Home for any services they provide.
