Martin E. Zern, 81, of South Londonderry Township passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 in his home.
Born December 9, 1934 in Palmyra, he was a son of the late Edgar and Ruth (Patrick) Zern, the widower of Nancy E. (Gutshall) Zern since November 22, 2014, and was also preceded in death by siblings Sam, Tom, Harry, and Myrtle.
Retired as a painter from Horst Construction, Lancaster, he previously owned M.E. Zern Painting and had operated a Walk-Away Sundae trailer at local fairs. He raised exotic animals, trained horses, and was a former Boy Scout Leader.
Surviving are his daughter Marilyn J. Weaver of Palmyra; sisters Elizabeth Bush, Edith Miller, and Joan Maulfair; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.
