Arthur E. “Art” Brown, 79, of Hummelstown passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born August 14, 1936 in Hershey, he was a son of the late Roy and Lydia (Fasnacht) Brown.
Art retired after 37 years of service from the Hershey Foods Corporation. He attended Hanoverdale Church where he was a member of the trustee board. He graduated from Hershey High School Class of 1954, was a member of the Monday Hershey Golf League, the National AACA and the PA Dutch Region AACA. An avid golfer, sports enthusiast, master carpenter and craftsman, Art, as a youth, played Little League Baseball at Williamsport and was a gifted pitcher.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years Gerry F. (Gingrich) Brown; daughter Crystal A., wife of Stuart “Reich” Feeser, III of Harrisburg; grandchildren Chad S., husband of Laura Feeser of Carlisle and Hilary A., wife of Bryon Fryer, Jr. of Crofton, Maryland; great grandchildren Grace A. Feeser and one on the way; siblings Donald L., husband of Faye Brown of Palmyra, David F., husband of Sharlene Brown of Maryland, and Lois R., wife of Luke Hiester of Jonestown.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 13, 2015 at his church, 577 Hershey Road, Hummelstown preceded by a viewing from 9:00 AM. Interment in the adjoining Hanoverdale Cemetery.
