Dear Doris and the Hetrick family.
I am so sorry for your loss; it is a loss to me as well. I served in the 51st Fighter Interceptor Wing with Earl starting on Okinawa in 1950 and on through Korea and Japan until 1952. I always enjoyed seeing him at our reunions.
Rest in Peace Earl.
Keith

Doris & Family,
I was happy for the opportunity to visit with Earl in recent months. Also for the time I was able to spend visiting with you both at your home at Traditions in Palmyra. I worked with Earl's brother Herman at Hershey Chocolate and I could see many of the same traits in them both. Thanks for the privilege of getting to know Earl.

Doris and Family:
Please know that Earl will always remain in the memories of those he served with in the 51st Fighter Wing. At all of our reunions we have a Memorial Service for those who have left us during the past year. Rest assured that list will include your beloved husband, and a friend to so many of us.
Prayerfully yours,
Chaplain "Ernie" Stroud

Aunt Doris and Cousins,
Received a very sad phone call this morning from my Sister Faye regarding Uncle Earl's passing...an Uncle that I highly admired, a special influence on my decision to enlist into the USAF, a decision that opened up many personal opportunities career-wise and, yes, where I met, Jani. He was a great conversationalist...greatly enjoyed his "war stories." He was especially kind and helpful to my Mon, especially after my Dad passed! I was truly impressed with his generous volunteering in his senior years as part of Civilian Color Guards honoring deceased veterans. We will keep you and my Cousins in our prayers in the days to come. Uncle Earl, we salute You!

Mrs. Hetrick and families,
Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. We were saddened to hear the loss of this wonderful man. With a twinkle in his eyes and an endless smile, Mr. Hetrick was truly amazing. He always had much love for his wife and family, soon many grandchildren and great grandchildren were added to his adoring family. May God give you strength during the next few days and months ahead. Everyday he will be with you in spirit and in your heart. Remember him as a vital and strong man, who is in God's hands. Remember his love for each and everyone of you. You all had a special place in his heart, and a BIG heart it was. Living the life of no pain, medications and someday we will all meet again! Where there are many family members who have passed awaiting him with open arms. He will be missed, but NEVER forgotten.
Deepest condolences,
The Bechtel Family
Jeffrey, Pamela, Matthew and Meghan
