Samuel D. Keim, 92, of Palmyra passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in the Lebanon VA Medical Center.
Born October 19, 1924 in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Calvin L. and Mary (Deppen) Keim and the widower of Julia L. Keim since June 2008.
He retired from the Lebanon Daily Newspaper with 42 years of service and worked for 26 years at Weis Markets, Palmyra. He attended Community Bible Church, was a United States Army Air Force veteran of World War II and member of the Annville American Legion Post 559. Sam was an avid Steelers fan, bowler, and sprint car fan.
Surviving are his daughter Linda Hershey, wife of Dennis Siegfried of Palmyra; sister Betty Englehart of Jacksonville, Florida; grandson Craig, husband of Heidi Hershey; great grandchildren Miranda, Lauren, and Travis Hershey; and his faithful canine companion Jessie.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a visitation from 10:00 AM. Interment, with military honors, in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 South Lincoln Avenue, Lebanon, PA 17042.
