Dolores I. Oldham, 84, of Newmanstown passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at home.
Born July 11, 1932 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Wenner) Shurer and the widow of Delbert D. Oldham since June 4, 2001. She was also preceded in death by siblings Edward Shurer, Jr., Bernadine Shurer, and Joseph Shurer.
Retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, she was a member of Mary Gate of Heaven Catholic Church, Myerstown and loved to read. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Good Samaritan Blood Bank, and Weaber Family Hospice Center, Lebanon.
Surviving are her children David D. Oldham of Newark, Delaware, Ralph E., husband of Kimberly Oldham of Millersburg, and Nancy M., wife of Bryan Hinkle of Grantville; sister Mary A. Sholder of Williamsport; brother John Shurer of Pittsburgh; grandchildren Timothy R. Keiffer of Atlanta, Georgia, Mary K., wife of Michael Forshey of Harrisburg, David S. Hinkle of Grantville, and Carly A. Oldham of Millersburg; great granddaughter Ella E. Forshey; and several nieces and nephews.
Private interment in Church of the Assumption Cemetery, Trout Run.
