I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Please take comfort in the Bible’s promise: “Your dead ones will live.…They will rise up.” Isaiah 26:19. Jesus Christ himself said: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.”—John 5:28, 29.

I don't even know what to write. A million memories flood my brain and I can't just pick one. It's impossible to find the words to express how I feel. I don't know how many times in the last year I have heard my Gram tell me she loves me. Probably hundreds. I am so thankful for that and the time I was able to spend with her. She was an amazingly funny, quick witted woman and I am so very thankful to be just like her. We liked the same colors, and jewelry and I came to enjoy and appreciate her love for Johnny Cash, George Jones, Marty Robbins and Patsy Cline. Those voices now comfort me.
I would like to express my gratitude for my Mom. She has shown me what absolute unconditional love is with the sincere, caring way she doted on and loved my Gram. My mom made sure Gram had everything she could possibly want and need and that to me is as Selfless as they come.
Just as important, I want to Thank some people that may read this guestbook. To Donna Buse, for keeping us sane and grounded through the last few years of decision making. To Timothy George for coming to see her even when the weather was bad. To the Hospice team, for reminding my mom and I that out decisions were what Gram would have wanted. To the nurses on 2F, especially Maddie and Deb. You all are angels and my Gram liked you very much. You gave us comfort and put up with us when we were a little crazy. Thanks for taking all the phone calls even at odd hours of the night. You guys are true Angels.
Last but certainly not least, Dave Lefever (The Guitar Man) One day I went in and Gram had been sleeping, her roommate mentioned you and I said your name. Grams eyes popped open and said "What did you say?". You were her happiness. From the moment you started gathering a group to listen in her room, you could do no wrong. Gram loved attention. You gave her that. She could count on you and you would be there playing the music she loved so much. You not only held a special place in her heart but you hold an extra special place in my moms heart and mine as well for all that you have done to make my Gram happy.
I know this is normally not where you post your thank you speech, but we are not a normal family and don't do things normal. So I am posting it here.
Thanks again for all of your thoughts and caring words. It truly means a lot.
