Yvonne H. "Vonnie" (Lambert) Smith

Yvonne H. “Vonnie” Smith, 85, of Palmyra passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021.

Born August 28, 1935 in Delaware Water Gap, she was a daughter of the late Ora and Dorothy (Taylor) Lambert and was preceded in death by daughter Dorothy Lang and brother Reginald Lambert.

Her younger life was dedicated to raising her children and later she was a dietary aide at the former IHS at the Woodlands, Hershey.  She was a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Hospital and the Dialysis Center both in Lebanon.

Vonnie’s love and unselfishness for her family was unprecedented. Her life was guided by her faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Surviving are her daughter Donna Becknauld (fiancé Barry Mitchell); son Bernard Smith, Jr. (April); five grandchildren Matthew Lang (Jacqueline), Angela Brindisi (Christopher), Jonas Becknauld, Jacob Graciani (Kassy), and Rachel Bertsch (Stephen); and nine great grandchildren Giavanni, Draven, Autumn, Henry, Blair, Bennett, Peyton, Remy, and Adie.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Delaware Water Gap Cemetery.
