William E. Seaman, 98, of Lebanon passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Linden Village, Lebanon.
Born September 2, 1924 in Lebanon County, he was a son of the late Earl and Martha M. (Eshelman) Seaman. Bill was the widower, after 60 years of marriage, of Betty J. (Hardy) Seaman since January 2008 and was also preceded in death by his brother Richard R. Seaman.
Retired as a diesel mechanic from Sheridan Slag, Lebanon, he was a longtime active member of Kochenderfer United Methodist Church, Lebanon. Bill was also a member of Palm Squares and Pioneers Camping Group. He enjoyed woodworking, camping and bluegrass music. A civil war history buff and avid reader, he enjoyed crossword puzzles and time with family and friends at Seaman Camp in Grantville.
Surviving are his children Brenda J. Kauffman (Todd) of Myerstown, Kenneth R. Seaman (Linda) of Elizabethtown and Scott M. Seaman (Marcy) of Lebanon; sister Esther A. Strickler (Fred) of Meridian, Idaho; grandchildren John W. Seaman, Austin J. Seaman and Alivia N. Seaman; and his companion Bernice Mease.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 17, 2023 at Kochenderfer United Methodist Church, 1105 Kochenderfer Road, Lebanon preceded by a visitation from 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Kochenderfer Cemetery.
