William D. Dunham, 79, of Lebanon passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025 in the Lebanon VA Medical Center.
Born September 3, 1945 in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Charles and Edith (Ritchie) Dunham and also preceded in death by sisters Fern Englehart and Debra Swoyer.
Bill retired from Hershey Foods Corporation with almost 40 years as a truck driver. A US Marine Corp veteran serving two tours during the Vietnam War, he also served with the Air National Guard Red Horse Squadron until January 1976, the Army National Guard until June 1977 and in 1990 was called to active duty with the Army 121st Transportation Company in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
Bill’s favorite saying was “One Day At A Time.”
Surviving are his daughter Patricia Palisin (Thomas); siblings David Ritchie (Nancy), Tony Mount (Toni), Christine Koch (Anthony) and Mary Cornman (Bradley); granddaughters Kellen and Avery Palisin; many nieces and nephews; and his extended family at Fresh Donut (12th Street, Lebanon).
A Celebration of Life service will be held 6:30 PM Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra. Private interment, with military honors, will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lebanon County Humane Society, 150 North Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
