Warren J. Rhoad, 89, formerly of East Hanover Township, Dauphin County passed away Monday, March 21, 2022 in the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.
Born January 23, 1933 in Palmyra, he was the son of the late John H. and Ellen I. (Gerberich) Rhoad and also preceded in death by a sister Pauline Fureman and grandson Casey Koons.
A parts clerk through his life, he started his career at E.O. Miller Chevrolet and retired from Straubs Inventory. Warren was a member of Palm Lutheran Church, Shellsville VFW #9639 and a U.S. Army veteran.
Devoted to his family, he is survived by his wife of 67 years Arline B. (Bomberger) Rhoad; children Lyn, wife of Gary Koons of Grantville, Steve, husband of Karen Rhoad of Hummelstown and Lisa, wife of Julian Mushinski of Grantville; sister Myrle Boyer of Jonestown; grandchildren Rachel (Rhoad) Miller, Amanda (Rhoad) Butler, Jason Koons, Laura (Mushinski) Lambert, Michele (Koons) Hollinger, Jordan Mushinski, Spencer Rhoad, and Ruby Rhoad; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, March 24, 2022 at his church, 11 West Cherry Street, Palmyra preceded by a viewing from 2:00 PM. Private interment in Shells Cemetery.
