Shirley M. Grove

Shirley M. Grove, 78, of Palmyra passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025.

Born August 18, 1947 in Cresson, she was a daughter of the late Jack E. and Mildred (McConnell) Lewis and, after 52 years of marriage, the widow of William L. Grove since January 2021.

A 1966 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School, Shirley worked part time at Palmyra Area School District, Comfort Inn, Hummelstown and Hershey Chocolate of Virginia.  Her greatest joy was being a stay at home mother, wife, and grandmother.

Surviving are sons John W. Grove of Lebanon, Frank D. Grove (Heide) of Palmyra and Steven M. Grove of Annville; daughter Barbara Grove Karwoski of Monrovia, MD; grandchildren Amy Bollmer (Ashley), Michelle Peverley, Parker Grove and Wyatt Grove; great grandson Hayden Bollmer; and her brother Mark S. Lewis and sister Judy Hoffman (Bill) also survive.

A funeral will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a viewing from 10:00 AM.  Interment will be in Hummelstown Cemetery.
