Shirley L. Weaver, 88, of Conewago Township, Dauphin County passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at her Bachmanville residence.
Born August 18, 1935 in Hershey on her parents farm, she was the daughter of the late Elmer K. and Elizabeth (Lehman) Brandt and widow of Marvin M. Weaver since August 2014, after a loving 58 years of marriage.
A long time, born and raised dairy and agricultural farmer, Shirley Weaver had a deep love for her variety of animals and strong devotion to her family, long adventures in cars, equipment shopping and crop planning with her son, Darren, collie raising, ATV driving, gardening for her roadside stand, crop raising and the Elizabethtown Fair, where she was the star of the hay bale throwing contest and put in other entries as well. She was a cherished member of Harvest Time Prayer Barn. She adored and doted on her children, especially her grandkids and great grandkids.
Surviving are her children Karen Mull of Elizabethtown, Sheila Laing of Palmyra, Zantha Weaver of Hershey, and Darren Weaver of Hershey; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a sixteen year old border collie; and her beloved cat, Church Cat.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, May 13, 2024 at Grace Chapel, 2535 Colebrook Road, Elizabethtown preceded by a visitation from 10:00 AM. Interment in Shenk’s Community Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
