Scott L. Gregory

Scott L. Gregory, 60, of Swatara Township and formerly of Hummelstown passed on as he wished, in his sleep, in the wee morning hours of Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Towne Manor East, Norristown.

Born August 2, 1959 in Harrisburg, he was the only son of Shirley (Lyter) Gregory of Swatara Township and the late John Joseph Gregory.

He was a 1977 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School, attended HACC and was formerly employed by Hershey Chocolate Corporation.  A 50+ year member of Woodmen of the World #364, he worshiped at Hummelstown United Church of Christ for years.  Scott was an avid Steelers fan; attended Hershey Bears games for 20 years and made many friends there.  He loved animals; Mugs and Tizzy were his favorite cats.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are uncles Richard, husband of Carol Lyter and David, husband of Joanne Lyter; aunt Patricia, wife of Lester Norcross; cousins Matt Norcross, Chris Norcross and Jenn, wife of Britton Pyles; many great aunts and uncles.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Hummelstown United Church of Christ, 104 East Main Street, Hummelstown.  Viewings will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday and 10:00 - 11:00 AM Wednesday both at the church.  Interment will be in Hummelstown Cemetery.
