Samuel A. Kerr, 96, of the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018.
Born November 23, 1921 in Palmyra, he was a son of the late Roy and Anna (Price) Kerr, the widower of Beverly (Masimore) Kerr since October 6, 1994 and was also preceded in death by grandson, Kyle S. Jefferson, on August 16, 2016.
A carpenter for the former Olmsted Air Force Base, he retired from the Hershey Medical Center, was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Campbelltown.
Surviving are his children, Blaine Kerr of Miami, Florida, Blair Kerr of San Francisco, California, and Beth Jefferson of Sarasota, Florida; brother, Frank Kerr of Palmyra; and grandchildren, Aaron Kerr, Ashley Jefferson, Amber (Jefferson) Handy and Sam (Kerr) Hudson.
Interment, with military honors, will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the Campbelltown United Christian Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on August 31, 2018 at his church, Salem United Church of Christ, 2761 Horseshoe Pike, Campbelltown followed by a time of fellowship at the church.
