Roy Lee Keaton, 79, of East Hanover Township, Dauphin County passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at home.
Born February 6, 1943 in Pipestem, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Clarence and Ruby (Lilly) Keaton and also preceded in death by his son Lee Roy Keaton in June 2022.
Retired from the Hershey Chocolate Company, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam era and member of Faith United Church of Christ, Chocolate Workers Union Local 464, and Shellsville VFW Post 9639. Roy volunteered at the Grantville Area Food Pantry and was an avid sports fan, especially of the Yankees and Commanders. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bee keeping.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years Karen L. (Rhoad) Keaton; daughter-in-law Elizabeth A. Keaton; brother Clarence E. Keaton; sister Connie Sue Roberts; and grandsons Logan Keaton and Jared Keaton.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at his church, 117 North Faith Road, Grantville preceded by a viewing from 9:30 AM. Interment, with military honors, in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
