Roy A. Shaeffer Obituary

Roy A. Shaeffer, 92, of Palmyra passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020.

Born October 31, 1928 in Elizabethtown, he was a son of the late Roy and Victoria (Darrenkamp) Shaeffer. Roy was the widower of Mary B. (Houser) Shaeffer since January 2014 after 63 years of marriage and also preceded in death by siblings Mary Jane, Dorothy, Cora, Betty, Nancy, Robert and Kaye.

Retired as plant superintendent from Hershey Foods Corporation, he was a member of Bindnagle Lutheran Church, Hershey Italian Lodge, Royal Oaks Golf Club and a U. S. Army veteran.

Surviving are his daughters Carol Ann, wife of Tom Guinivan of Forest Hill, MD and Kay Shaeffer Holland, wife of Tim Holland of Erie; brothers Gerald Shaeffer and Ronald Shaeffer; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
