Robert L. Barton, Sr.

Robert L. Barton, Sr., 83, of Annville passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023.

Born March 31, 1939 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Lester C. and Wilda (Ott) Barton.

A retired private practice Medical Doctor, he was a member of GracePoint Church and a Vietnam War U.S. Army veteran.  He was a great storyteller, avid reader, kept everyone supplied with donuts, and enjoyed family camping and boating.  He was loved by and  dearly loved his twelve grandchildren and great granddaughter.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years Marilyn L. (Jacobs) Barton; children Robert L. Barton, Jr. (Tracey), Debra L. Stein (Paul), and Thomas E. Barton (Emily); sisters Elaine Harmon (James) and Barbara Phleger (Lawrence); grandchildren Gabe (Ashley), Sara (Bryce), Katie (Mike), Nate, Andrew, Jake, Rachael, Ethan, Preston, Autumn, Cooper, and Ryker; and great granddaughter Ellie.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 1, 2023 at his church, 740 Leon Avenue, Palmyra preceded by a visitation from 9:30 AM.  Private interment, with military honors, in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
