Robert G. Hill, 88, of Londonderry Village, Palmyra and formerly of Conewago Township passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
Born May 27, 1933, in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, he was a son of the late Robert G. and Rissie (Phipps) Hill and was preceded in death by sisters Della Rentfrow and Bonnie Michael and a brother Roy Hill.
A self-employed carpet cleaner and house painter, Bob was a member of GracePoint Church, Palmyra, and Hershey Area Art Association. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Bob expressed his creativity through art, jewelry making, writing, playing guitar, singing, and composing songs. He loved teaching God’s Word. He made a mean pot of popcorn. He left a legacy of loving God and loving people.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years Margaret H. (Sobolewski) Hill; daughter Melanie Hill of Mount Joy; son Michael Hill (Loralee) of Germany; sisters Deanie Deitterick, Phyllis Cunningham and Renie Cunningham; and brother John Hill.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at his church, 740 Leon Avenue, Palmyra. Interment, with military honors, will be 10:00 AM Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
