Robert B. Hanshue

Robert B. Hanshue, 79, formerly of Millerstown, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023 in Alabama where he lived with his son and daughter-in-law since 2010.

Born December 2, 1943 in Hershey, he was a son of the late John P. and Carrie (Keller) Hanshue of Union Deposit.  The widower of Anna (Weaver) Hanshue, since February 2008, he was also preceded in death by siblings John (Ann) Hanshue of Hummelstown and Shirley (Gethin) Kurtz of Linglestown.

Retired from Empire Kosher Poultry, Mifflintown, Bob and Anna raised their family in East Waterford.

Surviving are his children Julie (William) Russell of Newmanstown and David (Susan) Hanshue of Nauvoo, Alabama; step grandchildren Chandler (Olivia) Hatcher and Faline Hanshue; great granddaughter Willow Jane Hatcher; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville preceded by a visitation starting at 1:00 PM.  Interment will be in Hanoverdale Cemetery, Hummelstown.
