Robert Allen Schaeffer

Robert Allen Schaeffer of Palmyra passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 on his 85th birthday.

Born February 23, 1939 in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Paul V. and Alice (Hower) Schaeffer.  Bob was also preceded in death by a son Matthew Allen Schaeffer and siblings Paul, Ina, and John Schaeffer.

He was a self employed farmer and landscaper and served on the 4-H Fair Board.  A member and Trustee of the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, he was a Boy Scout Leader and Ranger at Camp Bashore.

Surviving are his wife Betty Sue (Condict) Schaeffer; children Terrie Lee Moore, Eric Ryan Schaeffer, Amy Jo Alivernini, Paul Duvall Robertson, Jarred Scott Schaeffer, and Emily Kate Schaeffer; siblings Byron Schaeffer, Tina Whitman, and Gary Schaeffer; ten grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 1, 2024 at the DiMatteo Worship Center of Londonderry Village, 1200 Grubb Road, Palmyra preceded by a visitation from 10:00 AM.
