Robert A. Walsh

Robert A. Walsh, 80, of Palmyra passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 at home.

Born December 12, 1941 in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Robert A. and Florence (Brink) Walsh and also preceded in death by his sister Judith W. Kuch.

Bob retired with 20 years of service from Londonderry Village, Palmyra after retiring from the New York City Transit Authority after 35 years and was a member of the Transport Workers Union Local 100.  He enjoyed bowling and was a great cook of lasagna and sauce.

Surviving are his children Michele L. Bechtel (Joey) of Saxton, Robert E. Walsh (Stacey) of Palmyra, and Peter J. Walsh (Fe Amarante) of Atlanta, Georgia; brother-in-law Robert Kuch of Palmyra; grandchildren Jason, Kayla, Gavin, Adryana, and Conner; and great grandchildren Jason, Jr., Trinity, Aiden, and Oaklynn.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 12, 2022 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 300 West Pine Street, Palmyra preceded by a viewing from 1:00 PM.  Interment in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
