Richard W. Black, Sr., 88, of Campbelltown passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021.
Born October 26, 1932 in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Harold and Beatrice (Steckbeck) Black and also preceded in death by his sister Joyce Dickerson and brother Dr. Samuel Black.
Retired from the Naval Air Development Center, Warminster, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served in the Korean Conflict and member of S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. He attended North Annville Bible Church and enjoyed spending time in Mt. Gretna, at his cabin in the Poconos, and with his family. He was a humble man who left a rich legacy of love to his family and to all those that knew him.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years Dorothy E. (Brandt) Black; children Amanda Brink of Connecticut, Laurie Stone (Mark) of Mt. Gretna, Barbara Kreider (Thomas) of Palmyra, Suzanne Jones of California, Richard Black, Jr. (Michele) of Palmyra, and Carol Kreider (David) of Palmyra; 20 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 5, 2021 at his church, 4590 Hill Church Road, Annville preceded by a visitation from 9:00 AM. Private interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
