Richard C. Shaffer, Sr., 83, of Palmyra passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg.

Born June 15, 1936 in Hershey, he was the son of the late Paul S. and Dora M. (Burgner) Shaffer.

He was the retired owner of Mello Vending Company and a veteran of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. A member of First United Methodist Church, Palmyra, Hershey Italian Lodge and a former member of Palmyra Jaycees, he enjoyed the beach at Long Neck, Delaware.

Surviving are his wife Beverly A. (Kauffman) Shaffer; sons Richard C. Shaffer, Jr. of Lebanon and Bradley A., husband of Jodi Shaffer of Palmyra; grandchildren Abby Martin, Adam Shaffer, Ashley Graves, Aaron Shaffer and Lauren Shaffer; and nine great grandchildren.
