Ray H. Latchford

Ray H. Latchford, 92, of Palmyra passed away Monday, September 22, 2025.

Born April 17, 1933 in Cocolamus, Juniata County, he was a son of the late Charles W. and Mary I. (Hoffman) Latchford.  After 64 years of marriage, Ray was the widower of Julia K. (Wallett) Latchford since September 2018 and also preceded in death by a grandson Dennis Gravely, Jr., sister Mildred Latchford and brother Kenneth Latchford.

Ray retired from Hershey Foods Corporation and was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Campbelltown, the Moose, and Chocolate Workers Union Local 464.  An avid collector of car banks and loyal Phillies fan, he enjoyed woodworking and old cars.

Surviving are his children June Latchford, Jewel Gravely, Janine Martinez and Jason Latchford, Sr.; sister Edna Witmer; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, September 26, 2025 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a viewing beginning at 2:00 PM.  Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
