Paul D. Geesaman, 95, formerly of Shellsville passed away peacefully at Londonderry Village, Palmyra, Thursday, June 16, 2022.
Born August 3, 1926 in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Mahlon and Viola (Frank) Geesaman. He was the widower of Blanche Geesaman since August 2020 after 75 years of marriage and was also preceded in death by granddaughter Dawn Rebman, brother Mahlon Geesaman, and sister Sarah Campbell.
Surviving are his children Thomas Geesaman of Harrisburg, Lawrence (Linda) Geesaman of Harrisburg, Sharon (Keith) Salter of Jonestown, Jim (Jan) Geesaman of Palmyra, Joanne (Dale) Uhlig of Mount Joy, and Rebecca (Allen) Rebman of Rehrersburg; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and sister Ruth Crumrine.
Paul graduated from Lower Paxton High School and served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was the owner of a painting business, Paragon Decorators. Paul was a devoted member of Hanoverdale Church of the Brethren serving on various Boards and committees, in addition, he sang in the choir and a men’s quartet. He enjoyed fishing, golf, woodworking, renovating, and built one of his homes. Paul also served five years as an adult volunteer with the Church of the Brethren at New Windsor, MD.
A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, June 25, 2022 at his church, 577 Hershey Road, Hummelstown preceded by a visitation from 10:00 AM. Private interment will be in Hanoverdale Cemetery.
