Paul D. Fackler, 89, of East Hanover Township, Dauphin County passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
Born June 24, 1935 in Hoernerstown, he was a son of the late John H. and Lillian E. (Deimler) Fackler. He was also preceded in death by siblings Raymond Fackler, Pauline Steinmeier, Doris Seiger, Ruth Rhine, John Fackler, Charles Fackler, Fannie Gingrich, Howard Fackler, and Lloyd Fackler.
Retired after 42 years from Hershey Chocolate as a Pipefitter, Paul was a U.S. Army 11th Airborne Division veteran with Operation Kaleidoscope in Germany. He was a 32nd degree Mason with Brownstone Lodge #666 F. & A.M. A huge fan of the San Francisco 49ers and Penn State football, he was an avid hunter and loved his cats.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years Violet M. (Garrison) Fackler; son Steven, husband of Carol Fackler of Harrisburg; sister Faye Orwan of Hummelstown; grandson Nathan, husband of Tiffany Fackler of Spokane, Washington; and great grandsons Colton Fackler and Lucas Fackler.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville preceded by a viewing from 10:00 AM. Interment in Grantville Cemetery.
