Patricia Ann (Smith) Finan

Patricia Ann Finan passed away at the age of 91 on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

Born on a crisp cold Thanksgiving morning in Connellsville, PA, November 23, 1933, she lived many lives during her 90+ years on this planet.  Always elegant and put together regardless of the occasion, she brought warmth and kindness wherever she went.  She had too many careers to catalog and spent 20+ years as a real estate agent in Pittsburgh.  She enjoyed trips to New York City, Ireland, and Acapulco among many travels.  A lover of all dogs and cats, no stray was ever left without a place to sleep, eat, or a warm lap to feel loved.

Preceded in death by her husband Paul J. Finan, a WWII Navy veteran and avid outdoorsman.  A lover of good books and a stiff martini, she enjoyed people of all kinds and her family most of all.

Passionate mother to Elizabeth and Edward, she instilled in both of them her moto “Where there’s a will there’s a way.”  A devoted grandmother to Nicholas, Lauren, Ethan, and Vivienne, she was always on call and ready to babysit, take someone to practice, or be a reliably obedient playmate.

A woman of immense beauty both inside and out, she displayed an indominable spirit throughout her life.  She will be greatly missed by her surviving family: daughter Elizabeth Kroutch (Kevin) of Hummelstown, son Edward Show (Erika) of Mt. Lebanon, grandchildren Nicholas Kroutch (Sydney), Lauren Kroutch, Ethan Show, and Vivienne Show, and great grandchildren Carter and TJ Kroutch.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in her honor to the Lebanon County Humane Society, 150 North Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
