Patricia A. (Wise) Garber

Patricia A. Garber, 83, of Palmyra passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025.

Born October 17, 1941 in Columbia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Willie Owen and Anna Rebecca (Albert) Wise.  Patt was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by siblings Robert N. Wise, William Wise, Jr., Fay Garosi, Shirley Gingrich, Frederick Wise, and Jerry H. Wise.

Retired from Wendy’s, she previously worked for H.B. Reese Candy.  Patt was a member of Palmyra Church of the Brethren, had an affinity for hummingbirds and enjoyed cooking and baking, especially sharing her cookies.  She also enjoyed antiquing, thrifting, camping, visiting the family cabin, and watching sports, most importantly her grandchildren’s baseball games.

Surviving are her husband of almost 54 years William R. Garber; children Beth A. Lefever (Doug) of Palmyra, William R. Garber II (Andrea) of Palmyra, Douglas Turner (Robbi) of Alabama, Merle Turner of Alabama, Debra Garber of South Carolina, and Julie Long (Terry) of South Carolina; grandchildren Ashlynn, Austin, Maggie, William III, Kisha, Jessi, Courtney, Jordan, Millie, Robyn, and Cole; many great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her precious dog Bailee.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 17, 2025 at her church, 45 North Chestnut Street, Palmyra preceded by a visitation from 10:00 AM.  Private interment in Gravel Hill Cemetery at a later date.
