Oscar D. Harman, III, 73, of West Hanover Township passed away Friday, May 3, 2024.
Born September 3, 1950 in Hershey, he was a son of the late Oscar D., Jr. and Rebecca (Miller) Harman and also preceded in death by siblings Paul Harman, Sr., Keith Harman, David Harman, and Rebecca Tetzloff.
He retired from Dayton Parts, Harrisburg and loved the outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, gardening, watching birds, or fixing and tinkering.
Sonny is survived by his daughters Tracy L. Harman-Spitler (Jason Spitler, Sr.) of Grantville and Jennifer M. Harman (Antonio Maldonado) of Harrisburg; siblings Harvey Harman (Kimberly) of Delaware, Harold Harman (Sharmaine) of Harrisburg, Lori Miller (Randy) of Hershey, and Esther Kveragas (Pete) of Grantville; grandchildren Mackayla Rhoads, Ashley Vought, Jason Spitler, Jr., and Dakota Cope; great grandchildren Veronica Vought, Heath Rhoads, and Wyatt Spitler; numerous nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held 10:00 – 11:00 AM Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville followed by a graveside service at Shells Cemetery, Grantville. Come as you are, Sonny was a casual man.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
