Monica S. (Markel) Flohr

Monica S. Flohr, 47, of East Hanover Township, Dauphin County passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021.

Born June 10, 1973 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Herbert C. and Joyce S. (Little) Markel and also preceded in death by a brother Shawn R. Markel.

An employee of East Hanover Elementary School, Grantville and Giant Foods, Harrisburg, she was an avid reader and enjoyed painting.

Surviving are her husband Darrin L. Flohr; children Colby D. Flohr, Ethan P. Flohr, and Kylee S. Flohr all at home; and brother Dwayne S. Markel of Shermans Dale.

The family extends their sincere thanks to the faculty and students of East Hanover Elementary School for their love and support during Monica’s illness.

A visitation will be held 1:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local hospice.
