Millard Junior Barnhart

Millard Junior Barnhart, 93, of East Hanover Township, Dauphin County passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023 at home.

Born July 24, 1929 in Dauphin County, he was a son of the late Millard Cyrus and Anne Bernice (Yordy) Barnhart.  He was the widower of Mary Lou (Walborn) Barnhart since June 1999 and also preceded in death by brother Warren Y. Barnhart and granddaughter Tessa A. Barnhart.

A retired dairy farmer, he was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Congregational Church, Steelstown and the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau.  He enjoyed farmers markets, mowing grass, and road trips.  He loved wildlife and animals, especially his dog Raider.

Surviving are his children Michael L. Barnhart (Donna) of Cabot, Arkansas, Victor B. Barnhart (Karen) of Palmyra, Thomas E. Barnhart (widower of Christina) of Palmyra, Barbara A. Mazich (Stephen) of Hummelstown, Richard K. Barnhart (Kelly) Of Maud, Texas, Esther L. Tushup (Eric) of Palmyra, Joanne S. Engle (Paul) of Perkasie, and Shirley A. McCraw of Harrisburg; sister Alva M. George of Annville; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at his church, 683 Steelstown Road, Annville preceded by a viewing from 9:00 AM.  Interment in the adjoining St. John’s Evangelical Congregational Church Cemetery.
