Mary L. (Via) Longenecker

Mary L. Longenecker, 87, of Cleona and formerly of Steelstown passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021.

Born March 22, 1933 in Lebanon, she was the last of her immediate family, a daughter of the late Junie and Nannie (Garrison) Via.  She was the widow of Carl G. Longenecker since August 2000 and also preceded in death by a son Floyd Longenecker and granddaughter Katie Longenecker.

Retired from the Hershey Medical Center, Mary then drove bus for Fortna.  She enjoyed puzzles, blue grass music, and shopping.

Surviving are sons Kenneth Longenecker, Richard Longenecker, Carl Longenecker, Harold Longenecker, Robert Longenecker, and John Longenecker; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.

Services will be private with interment in St. John's Evangelical Congregational Church Cemetery, Steelstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
