Mary L. Erdman, 85, of Parrish, Florida passed away Friday, July 26, 2024.
Born in Hershey, PA, where she spent most of her life (and proud of it), she was a daughter of the late Victor and Kathryn (Greiner) Detweiler and widow of David L. Erdman. She was also preceded in death by a son Joseph Benson, sisters Betty Melcher and Carol Benson.
She was a founding member of the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey. She most loved spending time with family and friends.
She enjoyed square dancing, snowmobiling, meeting new people, sharing stories of the past, taking walks, and musicals. She had a recent interest in sea turtles.
Retired from H.B. Reese’s and loved chocolate.
Surviving are her daughters Kathleen Huth of Hershey, Tamara Benson (Matthew Breheny) of Florida and Julia MacKelvey (Mark) of Florida; brother-in-law Bruce Benson of Florida; grandchildren Kristina Stokes, Carl Huth II, Charles Huth, Emily Benson, Chloe Benson, Alysa Sierra, Brandyn MacKelvey, Nathyn MacKelvey, Myranda MacKelvey; and great grandchildren Andrew, Lukas, Charlie and Ian Stokes and Jane, Hannah, Elijah, Heidi, and Penelope Huth.
A private memorial service will be held on October 19, 2024. Private interment in Broadview Cemetery, Hershey.
