Marion Elizabeth (Fasnacht) Weaver of Annville and formerly from north of Hershey, was united with the Lord on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
Born on November 17, 1931, in Lebanon, PA, the daughter of the late Sara (Eshleman) and Lester Fasnacht. She was the widow of Harold D. Weaver since January 2008, after 54 years of marriage. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Carl, Wayne, Robert, Harold, and grandson Alexander Bartis. Marion is survived by her sister Janet Reed (Lester) of Florida.
Marion was a 1950 graduate of Hershey High School. She was a member of Derry Presbyterian Church since 1952, prior to that she was a member of Hershey United Methodist Church. She enjoyed many hours of working and volunteering of her time and talents. She was regularly active with Mother’s and Others, watching the mother’s children as they had their meetings as well as spent many Sundays in the church nursery. She enjoyed serving Terrific Tuesdays with many of her friends. She was also a regularly active member of the East Hanover Lions Club since June 2005. She served as a foster mother to eleven different foster babies that she had cared for from 1973–1979.
She had a kind spirit, generosity, love of gardening and her love of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also known for her famous Shoo-Fly pies and loved to bake other kinds as well.
Marion is survived by her children, Debbie Rupp and her husband Wayne of Minnesota, Barry Weaver and his wife Colleen of Palmyra, Randy Weaver and his wife Jeanette of Cleona, and Traci Weaver of New Hampshire. Her grandchildren Stephanie Rosenberg and husband Todd of Avondale, Christopher Weaver and wife Rebecca of Palmyra, Jennifer Wolfe and husband Adam of North Annville, Travis Rupp and wife Amy of Minnesota, Nicholas Bartis and wife Heather of California, Izcar Bartis of Pennsylvania, Kiyra Weaver-Bartis of New Hampshire.
Great grandchildren include Abigail and Asher Rosenberg; Gage Weaver; Arthur, Alma, and Otto Rupp; Brooklyn, Aubree, McKinley Bartis; Deanlan and Tesini Bartis; Step grandchildren: Cassidy Kaylor and her husband Logan, Kaylie Groff, Lane Groff. Step Great-Great-Grandchild Isaac and Naomi Kaylor.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Derry Presbyterian Church, 248 East Derry Road, Hershey, PA preceded by a visitation, beginning at 9:30 AM. The interment will be at Grand View Memorial Park in Annville following a reception. The service will be streamed here.
