Marie Eva (Brown) Morton

Marie Eva Morton, 84, of Palmyra passed away Friday, September 25, 2020 after a short battle with cancer.

Born November 12, 1935 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Rebecca M. Brown.  She attended the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, then worked many years in her family’s pharmacy.  On June 20, 1959, she married the love of her life, Joseph V. Morton, who passed November 18, 2002.  She served as sacristan for 25 years at Holy Spirit Catholic Church as well as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion for church services and the home bound members.

Surviving are her daughter Rebecca A. Pottmeyer (husband, Michael G.); son Joseph V. Morton, III (wife, Mary F.); seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother John J. Brown; and niece Dr. Belinda Brown Joseph, DDS.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Church of the Holy Spirit, 300 West Pine Street, Palmyra.  Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
