Margaret M. Demey

Margaret M. Demey, 88, of Bradenton, Florida and formerly of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024.

Born December 19, 1935 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Samuel W., Sr. and Ethel Mae (Kaylor) Demey.

A 1953 graduate of Middletown High School, she was a member of St. Armands Key Lutheran Church, Sarasota, Florida and a former member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hummelstown. After graduation, Margaret worked for AMP Inc, TRW, managed Agway Stores in Lebanon and State College and retired as administrative assistant for Pennsylvania State Education Association.

She enjoyed making beaded jewelry, crafting with seashells, traveling the world (China, Egypt, Japan, South America) and cruising.

Surviving are her sister Elizabeth A. Hartman (Larry) of Hershey; brother Samuel W. Demey, Jr. (Marilyn) of Harrisburg; nieces Lisa Som (Setthyvong) of Hummelstown and Wendi Gajewski  (Kevin Rich) of Virginia Beach, VA; nephew Matthew Demey (Tara) of Middletown; and great nieces and nephews Zachary Som, Jonathan Gajewski, Kelli Gajewski, Jarit Demey, Thomas Demey and Samantha Demey.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Ebenezer Cemetery, Ebenezer Road, Middletown.
