Margaret I. (Leidy) Bennett

Margaret I. Bennett, 94, of Palmyra and formerly of Highspire, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

Born July 19, 1930 in Spruce Creek, PA, she was a daughter of the late Lester R. and Melda (Mock) Leidy and widow, after 62 years of marriage, of Richard G. Bennett, Jr. since March 2017.  Margaret was also preceded in death by siblings Lester Leidy,  Richard Leidy, Donald Leidy, and Shirley Bailey.

She had attended Community Bible Church and previously worked for A.C. Moore.  Margaret had formerly served on the Board of Child Evangelism Fellowship, taken classes at Thompson Business College, and enjoyed crafts and sewing.

Surviving are her daughter Cheryl L. Goss (Brian) of Annville; son Mark R. Bennett (Kim) of Millersville; brother Jacob Leidy of Alexandria, PA; grandchildren Christina Kline (Steve), Bradley Goss (Sara), Josh Bennett, and Tyler Bennett; and great grandchildren Carter, Cora, Cooper, and Gemma.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a viewing beginning at 10:00 AM.  Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship, 4305 Winthrop Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17112.
