M. Doris (Walters) Kennedy

M. Doris Kennedy, 100, formerly of Hummelstown, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

Born June 21, 1925 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Virginia (Leber) Walters and the widow since January 2011 of Melvin W. Kennedy, after 64 years of marriage.

Retired from Hershey Foods Corporation, Doris was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hummelstown and Chocolate Workers Union Local 464.

Surviving are her children Sharon Lee Williams (Bruce), Melvin W. Kennedy (Cheryl) and George E. Kennedy (Carol); grandchildren Michelle Curry (Mitchell), Scott Williams (Trisha), Angela Kennedy (Matthew Hoerner) and Jordan Kennedy (Alyssa); and great grandchildren Madison Curry, Mackenzie Curry, Ava Kennedy and William Kennedy.

A memorial service will be held 12:00 Noon, December 3, 2025 at her church, 210 West Main Street, Hummelstown preceded by a visitation beginning at 11:00 AM.  Private interment will be in Hummelstown Cemetery.
