Louis “Louie” Botta, 76, of Grantville, PA (formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ) passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, in his home surrounded by family and friends.
Lou was a 1967 graduate of Phillipsburg High School, and attended Warren Tech Vocational School for automotive repairs.
Born on June 24, 1949 in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Louis and Sadie (Carita) Botta of Phillipsburg.
A lifetime avid railroader, Lou moved to Enola, PA in 1976 to pursue a career with Norfolk Southern Railroad where he worked as a welder/mechanic until his retirement in 2009. Lou had a passion for model trains and had an extensive model train display. Lou lived a quiet life, and enjoyed listening to music, taking care of his property and vehicles.
Lou is survived by his sister, Gloria Takacs and her husband Jamie, a niece Amanda Takacs and her husband Tony Gregory, a great nephew Tyler Gregory, and a nephew Mark Takacs, all of Easton.

Interment will be private at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Easton.
