Lillian G. (Marks) Batz

Lillian G. Batz, 91, formerly of Conewago Township, Dauphin County passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023.

Born January 29, 1932 in Tulpehocken Township, Berks County, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Minerva Smith (Stine) Marks.  The widow of Harold R. Batz since January 2002, she was also preceded in death by her sons Michael H. Batz, Eugene C. “Rum” Batz and Richard A. Batz and brother Herlin Marks.

Lillian was a self-employed farmer, attended Conewago Church of the Brethren and was an active member of Lawn Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are her daughters Patricia M. Batz of Palmyra, Joan M. Tyburski (Barry) of Hershey and Joy E. Logan (Tom) of Palmyra; grandchildren Luke Batz (Lan), Amber Gornik (Jamison Deichman) Taylor Gornik, Jesse Batz, Jessica Batz, McKenna Logan and Cadence Logan; and great grandchildren Jackson and Zoey Batz.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Conewago Church of the Brethren, 7035 Schoolhouse Road, Hershey preceded by a viewing beginning at 10:00 AM.  Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra following a luncheon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
