Lester P. Keller Obituary

Lester P. Keller, 97, of South Londonderry Township, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025 in the Lebanon VA Medical Center.

 

Born December 9, 1927 in Bachmanville, he was a son of the late David and Mary (Brown) Keller.  Lester was also preceded in death by his wife Bernice H. (Sheeder) Keller in 2009, son Raymond “Sparky” Keller, brothers Roy Keller and David Keller and stepbrother Elwood Dohner.

 

A carpenter for many years and when he went to work for HERCO he supervised the carpenters, plumbers and clean up crew.  Lester was a member of Temple Bible Church, the former Hummelstown Brethren in Christ Church, Palmyra Bowling League and was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.

 

Surviving are his wife Mary K. (Liskey) Estep Keller; sons Steven Keller of Shinglehouse and Dennis Keller (Betsy) of Jacobus; daughters Susan Ellis and Bonnie Barrick both of Harrisburg; stepsister Deneise Goss (Rick) of Palmyra; and  from the blended families 22 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

 

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 15, 2025 at his church, 5880 Schoolhouse Road, Elizabethtown preceded by a viewing beginning at 10:00 AM.  Private burial will be in Broadview Cemetery, Hershey.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Temple Bible Church, 5880 Schoolhouse Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
