Leroy E. Shiffer

Leroy E. Shiffer entered eternal peace Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the age of 86.

Born December 23, 1935, he was preceded in death by his mother Ada Shiffer and wife of 61 years Lois Anne (Mengel) Shiffer.

Surviving are sons Gregory, Edward (wife Donna) and Randy; daughter Susan Kulp; granddaughters Jessica and Erin Kulp; step granddaughter Jeannie; step great granddaughters Taylor and Savanna; and step great grandson Pearson.

He attended school in Palmyra and then mastered the art of Masonry.  Leroy also worked at Clever Brothers and retired from South Londonderry Township.  After retirement, he worked for the Hershey Country Club as part of the grounds crew, where he discovered the game of golf, which he loved.  He was an avid Phillies fan, and enjoyed NASCAR and sprint car racing, with his beloved wife Lois by his side.  An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a member of the Campbelltown Legion 831, Lunker Club of Steelton, and C-B Sportsmen’s Club.  He also worked BINGO Friday nights with Lois as a cook.

He will be truly missed and remember by family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date for both Leroy and Lois.
