LeRoy D. Hoffman, III, 70, of Palmyra, passed away on November 3rd at Columbia Cottage, Palmyra.
Born July 10, 1955, in Lebanon, PA, he was the son of the late LeRoy Hoffman, Jr. and Betty Jane (Lehman) Hoffman. Retired as a financial advisor, he was a member of the Lebanon Valley USBC Association Hall of Fame and Brownstone Lodge #666 F. & A.M. A lifelong athlete, LeRoy played baseball, hockey, and bowled, where his competitive nature and natural ability always shone through. Over the years, he rolled more than ten perfect 300 games and multiple 800 series during his Hall of Fame bowling career. An avid fisherman and lifelong Boston Bruins fan, he also enjoyed following the stock market, winning awards for his festive holiday light displays, and seeking out the best pizza in central Pennsylvania.
Surviving are his son, LeRoy W. Hoffman, IV of Palmyra, and daughter, Sarah J. Hoffman, wife of Kara Lee Denney of Los Angeles, California. He is also survived by his former wife, Patricia M. Hoffman.
LeRoy will be remembered for his quick wit and a mischievous streak that made him one of a kind. Charismatic and sharp, he had a natural way of connecting with people. Competitive by nature yet quietly generous, he lived with purpose and a deep love for his family.
