Larry R. “Duck” Alleman, 65, of East Hanover Township, Dauphin County passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday, January 6, 2022 surrounded by his family.
Born January 1, 1957 in Hershey, he was the son of the late Ray L. Alleman and Esther M. (Rearick) Banks and also preceded in death by a sister Joyce Vacondios.
Duck was a self-employed painter and a member of Sons of the American Legion #272, Linglestown. A former member of the Manada Friday Night Golf League, Larry enjoyed camping and kayaking the Swatara Creek. He was an avid Penn State sports fan, especially their football team, and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and Terry Labonte NASCAR races.
Surviving are his wife, whom he has known for 38 years and been married to for 26 years, Donna M. (Hyde) Alleman; son Nathan R. Alleman, husband of Dr. Chelcie Costabile; grandchildren Nathan, Lucas and Elizabeth Alleman; siblings Judy Halterman, Deborah Longreen, Albert, husband of Rose Hyde, Cindy Keeney and Terry, wife of Merv Moyer; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, January 14, 2022 at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville, preceded by a visitation beginning at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 3001 Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
