Larry E. Demay

Larry E. Demay, 81, of Hesston and formerly of Harrisburg and Newport passed away peacefully Monday, September 16, 2024 at home.

Born March 31, 1943 in Columbia, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Elwood J. and Faye L. (Harder) Demay.  Larry was the widower of Barbara J. (Bair) Demay and also preceded in death by his sister Sandra F. Demay.

A retired Diesel Mechanic Instructor from Cumberland Perry Vo Tech, he was a member of Teamsters Local 776.

Surviving are his daughters Raelene J., wife of Tracy Smith of Harrisburg and Beverly A. Nye of Hummelstown; sister Lynne, wife of Donald Bivens of Grantville; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and companion Dorothy “Jean” Smay.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
