Kenneth L. Peiffer

Kenneth L. Peiffer, 84, of Palmyra passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023.

Born February 19, 1939 in North Londonderry Township “Coffeetown,” Lebanon County, he was a son of the late Evan R. and Esther E. (Waltz) Peiffer and was also preceded in death by brother Evan R. Peiffer, Jr. and niece Karen Peiffer Stickler.

He retired as an English and Drama teacher from Central Dauphin High School in 2000 and was formerly Facilities Manager at HersheyPark Arena and Stadium.  A 1961 graduate of Lebanon Valley College, Annville, he also graduated from Hershey Junior College and Palmyra High School and was an unaffiliated Protestant.  In addition to friends, colleagues and former students, Ken enjoyed following the Phillies, writing seasonal and humorous poetry, oil painting, candle making, numismatics and geology.  He also was an avid collector and archiver of a wide assortment of movies, videos, and audio recordings.

Surviving are his sister Emily E., wife of Peter Drabousky of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister-in-law Doris Peiffer of Annville; nieces Janet Drabousky Carter (Anthony) and Anita M. Drabousky; nephews Bradley Peiffer and David Drabousky (Aylin). 

Private interment in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
