June E. Shope Obituary
June E. Shope, 96, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Hummelstown passed away Monday, April 12, 2021.
Born November 8, 1924 in Hershey, she was a daughter of the late Dewey I. and Leah (Reager) Weist and widow of Chester T. Shope since September 2004.
June was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hummelstown for 65 years, the United Methodist Women, Hummelstown Flower Club, and Golden Age Club. A former employee of Hershey Foods, she was a 1942 graduate of Hershey High School.
Surviving are her children Dennis E. Shope of Lewisberry, Susan E. Daum of Mechanicsburg, and Sandra J. Bennetch of Mechanicsburg; brother Edward Weist of Hershey; sister Doris Lynn of North Carolina; and five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Friday, April 16, 2021 in Hummelstown Cemetery.
