June E. (Wenrich) Burgard

June E. Burgard, 96, formerly of Palmyra passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 at The Lebanon Valley Home, Annville.

Born July 17, 1927 in Tremont, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Tobias) Wenrich. She was the widow of Robert C. Dohner and John M. Burgard and also preceded in death by her stepson Kevin Burgard.

June retired from the Department of Military Affairs and U. S. Property and Fiscal Office for Pennsylvania at Fort Indiantown Gap. She was an active member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Palmyra, where she sang in the choir and the Ladies 4-4&1 Quartet and was a member of the Women’s Guild and 50 Plus Group.

Surviving are her stepdaughters Pamela J. Hunter (Jeffrey) of Enola and Kim L. Kelley (Jeffrey) of Lebanon; step grandchildren Lisa Kelley and Eric Kelley; two nieces Kathleen Kreiser (Dennis) and Christine Billman (Chad) and nephew Michael Wenrich.

A private service will be held at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association to advance a cure for dementia.
